Google Pixel6 release date has been postponed to 10/19

The Google Pixel 6 is rumored to be released in mid-October, and there appears to be yet another piece of evidence to support this.

The latest potential evidence for an October launch date comes from Australian mobile operator Telstra (via Reddit and Droid Life).

This exact date could be the deadline associated with the Marvel Stadium sports experience that Telstra is offering as a prize to attract new registrations. However, October 19 has long been said to be the launch date for the Pixel 6.

The ad can therefore be seen as a strong sign that the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro may be fully revealed in about a month.

Google's flagship smartphones have so far appeared around the third week of October since the launch of the original Pixel. As such, we had already anticipated that a date like October 19 would be when we would finally see the Pixel 6.

Specifically October 19 was named as the Pixel 6 launch date by leaker Jon Prosser, who claims that the Pixel 6 will launch on October 28. Google may have been teasing this date, as the Android 12 screenshot in the Pixel 6 renderings shows a calendar widget date pointing to Tuesday, October 19.

As for the Pixel 6 itself, official teasers and unofficial leaks indicate that it will feature a new Google-designed Tensor chipset, a novel design, and two models (a smaller Pixel 6 and a larger Pixel 6 Pro), and the current Google Almost all features appear to be changed compared to the Pixel 5.

But there will be more than new silicon: the back of the Pixel 6 Pro is also expected to feature a radically revised camera, including a main/ultra-wide/telephoto combination. The battery is also expected to be significantly larger and charging may increase from 18W to 33W. Both of these could be beneficial for the base and Pro models' displays, which will have 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates, respectively.

We hope the Google Pixel 6 will impress us enough to challenge the Samsung Galaxy S21 and iPhone 13 and possibly rank in our best phones list.
