According to rumors, the iPhone 13 Pro should stand out from the iPhone 13 in several important ways. These include a possible 120 Hz screen (the Pro will give a faster refresh rate), an always-on display for information at a glance, and a new six-element ultra-wide angle lens.

A new research note from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5 Mac) predicts another unique perk for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max: up to 1TB of storage, a first for the iPhone. option will join the 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB configurations.

Kuo also has good news about the regular iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 mini, but it may be bad news in terms of supply shortages.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will reportedly discontinue the 64GB storage option; they will reportedly come with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB.

Kuo does not anticipate delays for the iPhone 13, but it could be difficult to purchase at launch. Component shortages could lead to "downside risk" for Apple in Q4. Ultimately, however, Kuo says that overall iPhone 13 shipments could grow 10% year over year compared to the iPhone 12 series.

Other recent leaks have pointed to several other upgrades in the iPhone 13 series, including a portrait video (cinematic) mode and an improved night mode that allows for clearer shots of the night sky and stars. Additionally, we are told that the camera will capture more light.

We also expect that all four iPhone 13 models will have high-capacity batteries and that Apple may introduce a satellite communication feature that will allow users to text and talk in areas without cellular reception. However, this feature may be limited to a few markets and geared toward emergency use.

Finally, Kuo said that AirPods 3 will likely be announced at the September 14 Apple event. These wireless earbuds may offer noise-canceling capabilities, and Apple may leave the AirPods 2 as a budget option.
