The California State Athletic Commission then refused to sanction Holyfield v. Belfort, perhaps because of Holyfield's age (58, turning 59 on October 19). This forced Triller to move his location from the Staples Center in Los Angeles to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida.

This was Holyfield's first match since May 2011. In that fight, he defeated Brian Nielsen by 10th round TKO.

Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr. will also be on the program, providing an alternate commentary track for the event.
