With the Samsung Unpacked event over, all eyes are now on the Apple event just announced for September 14. While the invitation from Apple is reasonably vague, we have a pretty good idea of what may be announced soon from Cupertino.

According to Mark Gurman's Power-On newsletter for Bloomberg a few weeks ago, there will be five devices at Apple's fall event. Besides the widely anticipated iPhone 13, Gurman says the event will feature the MacBook Pro 2021, Apple Watch Series 7, AirPods 3, and a new iPad in the form of the iPad mini 6 and a 9th generation iPad for students.

"Apple will be presenting a new iPad in the form of iPad mini 6 and 9th generation iPad for students.

"Apple Inc. is in full preparation mode for another holiday season packed with device announcements," Gurman wrote, and given his generally good record on Apple leaks, there is no reason to think he is incorrect about this.

Whether the September 14 event will be a major product rollout or the first of many fall releases from Apple is not known. Last year, Apple held three events for the iPhone 12 as well as the Apple Watch and the new MacBook. Either way, Apple's fall release schedule is likely to be a busy one.

Below we have outlined all the products we can expect to see and their potential features, according to Gurman's latest claims and other rumors we have heard.

The main focus of Apple's September 14 event should be the rumored iPhone 13. And as expected, according to Gurman, the iPhone 13 lineup will have somewhat less dramatic changes than last year's iPhone 12 launch, with Apple reportedly focusing on "upgraded camera features and faster speeds while maintaining last year's design."

As has been widely reported, Apple will likely follow the same four models announced for the iPhone 12. The major difference seems to be a smaller notch on the front display, which we have heard a lot about before.

As for the focus on the camera, there is a "new video version of the portrait mode called Cinematic Video," improved video recording in ProRes for Pro models, and new AI-powered filters are likely to appear, Gurman said.

Previously, rumors have suggested that the iPhone 13 Pro model will undergo more significant changes. Namely, the Pro model will have a 120Hz refresh rate thanks to ProMotion technology. And speaking of screens, Gurman also mentioned a possibility for the iPhone 13 that Android phones have offered for some time: an always-on display.

And it will be the iPhone 13, not the iPhone 12s, Gurman says. In the past, iPhone upgrades that kept the same design as the previous model were labeled with an "S," but Apple seems to be pushing forward with a new number this time around.

Apple's fall event is also expected to feature the Apple Watch Series 7 along with the iPhone 13; Gurman expects "a slight design change" to Apple's smartwatch. He also suggests that Watch 7 will feature upgraded screen technology and a faster processor.

The other new feature Gurman is teasing is called "Time to Run," which will be a variation on the existing "Time to Walk" feature for Apple Fitness Plus subscribers. According to Gurman, a meditation version of the "Time to Walk" mode may also be available.

Other reports suggest that Watch 7 will include a blood glucose monitoring feature, but new rumors suggest that this feature will not be included this time around. Instead, it may be another year before some of Apple's health ambitions appear in the Apple Watch.

Rumors about a new MacBook Pro 2021 have been swirling for months, and as Gurman and others have previously reported, there is reason to believe it has been delayed due to the COVID-19 epidemic and global chip shortage.

Nevertheless, Gurman believes that the two new models, the MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 and the MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021, "should be available by November, when the current MacBook Pro (16-inch model) celebrates its second anniversary. In other words, the laptops could be announced at the same fall event as the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch, but as Apple has done in the past (most recently with the MacBook Air M1 and MacBook Pro M1 announcements last year), a separate event could be held for the Mac.

Garman did not go into details about the specs and features of the new Macbooks, but we have previously seen reports that we could see the return of SD card readers, HDMI ports, and MagSafe chargers. Other rumors suggest that the iPad Pro 2021 (12.9") will have a Mini-LED screen similar to that found on the iPad Pro 2021 (12.9").

Next on Garman's list is the AirPods 3, which is rumored to be a new version of Apple's entry-level AirPods.

Apple's latest entry-level wireless earbuds, the AirPods 2, were announced in 2019, and indeed, were not that big an overhaul, leading many users to opt for the Pro version instead. But if Gurman and others are correct, the AirPods line could be the biggest upgrade since their launch in 2016.

According to Gurman, the AirPods 3 design will be similar to that of the AirPods Pro, mimicking features such as the in-ear design and much shorter stem, but at a lower price. This reflects earlier rumors we have heard about both the design and the price.

We imagine the new AirPods will debut alongside the iPhone 13, so we expect this to happen sooner rather than later.

Again, the iPad mini 6 has been rumored for some time now.

Garman describes the upcoming iPad mini update as "the biggest upgrade ever," with reportedly far thinner edges and a redesigned design compared to the current model. We have previously seen reports that the iPad mini 6 could feature a mini LED display and resemble the design of the Pro model.

More intriguingly, Garman also predicted "a faster 9th generation iPad for students," but gave no further details.
