How Osaka has fared so far at this year's U.S. Open, she showed some minor rust potential in the first set of her first-round match against Vuzkova. Of course, he then went on to win all of his matches, including a seven-game winning streak.

If there was anything wrong for Osaka in this first round match, it was seen on her first serve (landing 47% of her serves). From then on, it was excellent. And speaking of unforced errors, Osaka made a mistake in that first set and will probably be hoping to get below that in the next set.

As for the rest of the U.S. Open, the biggest threat for Osaka is Ashleigh Barty, who plays Clara Towson on Thursday.
