How to Watch Cruella Online Without Paying Extra Money

If you didn't see Cruella's movie online (and in theaters) when it came out, your patience will be rewarded. Yes, if you were in no hurry to see how in the world Emma Stone transforms one of Disney's most despicable (yet stylish) villains into a hero - or even an anti-hero. The film will finally end its paid subscription to Disney Plus Premier Access.

It's the latest Disney villain to step into the spotlight, following in the footsteps of Maleficent. Are these films just a new way to mine IP or an interesting adventure? Critiques range from praise for being beautiful and funny to criticism that they redefine Cruella as we thought we knew her.

Earlier this year, Disney confirmed that Cruella would be released in both theaters and Disney Plus. The only catch? It had to pay extra for premiere access on Disney Plus. This makes "Cruella" a good deal for families, but not a great deal for singles who can make it to the theater. And on August 27, "Cruella" will be one of the Disney Plus films.

Cruella's story is simple, a bit of The Devil Wears Prada. Stone plays Estella De Ville, an aspiring fashion designer who suffers under the thumb of her bullying boss, Baroness von Hermann (Emma Thompson). Eventually Cruella finds a new calling and a path to crime.

Cruella can be seen without charge on Disney Plus beginning Friday, August 27.

Until then, you will need to subscribe to Disney Plus and pay $29.99 for Premier Access. Once purchased, you can watch "Cruella" as many times as you want.

Disney Plus is available worldwide.
