The list of Galaxy S21FE suggests that it will launch soon

Last week's Galaxy Unpacked featured the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, but nothing at all about the Galaxy S21 FE. But according to the new listings, that may not be the case for much longer.

The Galaxy S21 FE, model number SM-G990N, has just been certified by the Bluetooth SIG (the organization that licenses and oversees Bluetooth technology). This means that it won't be available for sale for very long.

As Phone Arena points out, phones usually appear within a few months of being certified by the Bluetooth SIG. If that is the case, the Galaxy S21 FE will appear between now and mid-October. [The Galaxy S20 FE was announced on September 23, 2020 and released on October 2, 2020.

Adhering to such a launch schedule would allow room for newly announced foldable devices. Despite the price reductions, the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are still expensive, and launching a lower-priced flagship device immediately could affect sales of these handsets. Especially if the S21 FE is a bargain.

The Bluetooth SIG also lists the SM-G990B and SM-G990B_SD alongside the SM-G990N. One of these is likely a variant with more storage, and the other may be a model that does not include 5G connectivity.

The S20 FE had a 4G-only model that was not released in the US. However, nothing is certain other than the fact that all of these devices support Bluetooth 5.0.

According to the rumors so far, the S21 FE is going to be very impressive and is said to feature a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 6.4" FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,360 mAh battery and 45W fast charging. It has also been suggested that it may have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB and 256 GB storage options.

None of this, of course, has been confirmed by Samsung. Neither has a price, something that would have to be exceptional given that the standard Galaxy S21 starts at $800. But since Bluetooth SIG certification is here, we shouldn't have to wait too long for Samsung to give us some specifics about the phone. So sit tight as we hear it and we'll bring you all the latest news.
