What should Marvel do?..? Release Date and Time: How to Watch Episode 1 Now on Disney Plus

Marvel's What If...? premiered its first episode today (August 11) on Disney Plus.

Speaking of attention, the series centers around a character we've yet to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Ouattou the Watcher. Voiced by Jeffrey Wright, Uatu lives in the Blue Area of the Moon and observes the Earth. In the past he has meddled in human affairs to save the world and may appear in the upcoming Marvel Fantastic Four movie, as he helped stop Galactus.

For now, he will serve as our tour guide in a series of episodes that tell the "what could have been" story. In one long-awaited episode, Marvel heroes become zombies, and in another, we wonder what if Peggy Carter, instead of Steve Rogers, had gotten the super serum.

Most notably, Chadwick Boseman will finally play T'Challa in Black Panther. However, this time T'Challa is also Star-Lord. Who knows what this means for Peter Quill.

Marvel and Disney have not revealed the subject matter for each episode, but we have plenty of other good ideas of what could come out. For example, the "What If...?" poster shows Spider-Man wearing Doctor Strange's cape. Just don't expect Tom Holland's voice. His contract is with Sony (not Disney), so we may be hearing someone else speak from beneath the web-slinger's mask.

Marvel's What If...? will fly through reality, but will stay in the same place when it plays: Disney Plus. [For example, What If...? 's Episode 1 will be released on Wednesday, August 9 at 3:00 a.m. ET.

Disney Plus is a global network that includes Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Episodes will air weekly at 3:00 a.m. from its premiere in mid-August until the finale in early October.
