Even though the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will likely cost more than $1,800, we don't expect Samsung to include a charger. But according to new rumors, Samsung seems to have an answer for that.

Twitter leaker @_snoopytech_ claims that once the Z Fold 3 is released, Samsung will offer buyers a "Note Pack" for $89, which will include a charger, case, and S Pen. In other words, for a relatively small amount of money (compared to a cell phone), you get the charger you want, plus other very useful accessories.

Samsung, like Apple, removed the charging brick from its latest flagship phone series, the Galaxy S21. This was done for environmental reasons, as users likely already own the chargers that power their phones. However, it is still a nuisance for users who have just started using Samsung and need to buy a new power brick to use the phone's fast charging feature.

That's why it would be very interesting if these note packs are real. Other users who already have Samsung's 25W charger (the one that is supposedly also used in the Z Fold 3) would be able to buy the phone on its own. This is a good compromise between environmental friendliness and practicality.

However, the pack also contains more than just the charger. The included case is a nice gesture, given that foldable phones are more fragile than the average smartphone. Most exciting, however, is the S Pen; the Z Fold 3 is rumored to be Samsung's first stylus-enabled foldable, and the prospect of bundling and selling accessories with a stylus adds to the evidence. The Galaxy S21 Ultra earlier this year also introduced S Pen compatibility, giving users an important option since the Galaxy Note 21 is confirmed not to be available this year.

Samsung is preparing to announce the Z Fold 3 at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event today, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Buds 2. Other than S Pen compatibility, Z Fold 3 new features We expect that more will be said here about the new features of the Z Fold 3, other than S Pen compatibility. This includes the rumored under-display selfie camera on the deployed main display, the first of its type on a Samsung phone.
