All bad things must come to an end. Lucifer Season 6, the final chapter in the Supernatural saga, is coming soon, and Netflix has released the first full trailer. Lucifer has become a god, but he is not yet ready to abandon his demonic ways and sit on the throne.

Lucifer Season 6's release date was revealed last month in a video presented at the Comic-Con @ Home panel. The final season is shaping up to be epic after everything that happened in Season 5B. Lucifer (Tom Ellis) defeated his brother Michael and became a god. But how will his ascension to the heavens affect his romance with Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German)? And as the new trailer suggests, is the apocalypse near?

"Lucifer" Season 6 has quite a few storylines to wrap up. The big one, of course, will be how the main character, the devil, deals with being God Almighty while maintaining his relationship with Chloe. But other threads would also be included: the Amenadiel attending the police academy, Linda reuniting with her long-lost daughter Adriana, Mays continuing her quest to become the Warden of Hell, etc.

Co-showrunner Joe Henderson told Collider, "It's probably our most intimate season to date, and some of our most expensive episodes to date. So there's still plenty of spectacle."

Here is what we know so far about Lucifer Season 6.

Netflix has set a release date of Friday, September 10 for Lucifer Season 6.

The news was announced on July 24 at Comic-Con @ Home 2021 during a panel featuring Tom Ellis, Joe Henderson, and Ildi Modrovic. The cast and crew already completed filming last spring.

"Lucifer" Season 6 was not supposed to happen at all. This is a show that really could not die. It was revived twice, first by Fox and then by Netflix after season 5 was cancelled. But "Lucifer" worked some sort of infernal magic, because the streaming company reversed its decision and ordered a final season (perhaps for real this time).

The trailer for "Lucifer" Season 6 begins with the main character, a demon, being questioned by LAPD detective Carol Corbett. At one point, he asks Lucifer his age: ...... How rude! The fallen angel never reveals his number.

The rest of the trailer foreshadows Lucifer's struggle with his new status as God. He even returns to his therapist Linda's couch. Things on earth are taking on a bit of an apocalyptic look. The laws of nature are breaking down, and no one (not even an all-powerful being) knows how it will end.

"Lucifer" Season 6 will consist of 10 episodes, and the title has already been revealed:

The cast of "Lucifer" will be led by Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lord of Hell. Bored with his life, he becomes a private consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department and runs an exclusive nightclub called Lux.

Ellis also plays Lucifer's twin brother Michael, who takes his place when Lucifer returns to Hell.

Other Lucifer cast members include:

A series regular and potential regular is Kevin Alejandro as Daniel "Dan" Espinoza, a Los Angeles Police detective and Chloe's ex-husband. This character died in Season 5B and is now in hell. Of course, as we have seen, that is not necessarily permanent.

There are several new cast members for Lucifer. Merrin Dungey will play Sonya, who will interact with Amenadiel at the Los Angeles Police Academy.

Then there is Brianna Hildebrand playing an angel named Laurie.
