Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Specifications and features just leaked by brochure

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 appears to have been unofficially unveiled ahead of Samsung's big Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event on August 11. The photos, which appear to be brochures of this new foldable phone, talk about features and specs.

According to GizNext, which obtained the brochure, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will have a 6.7-inch primary display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.9-inch external display. It is also expected to have a Snapdragon 888 chip and a more durable design. [According to a leaked Galaxy Z Flip 3 brochure, the foldable phone is IPX8 rated and can withstand a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. In addition, the ultra-thin glass of the main screen is said to be 80% more durable than before due to "additional panel layers and protective film." Last but not least, according to the brochure, the Z Flip 3 features Samsung's "strongest aluminum frame to date."

So what will the Galaxy Z Flip 3's large cover display allow you to do? The brochure shows a variety of use cases, including checking messages, displaying the weather, and controlling music playback. It also allows users to take selfies without opening the phone.

Speaking of cameras, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 brochure lists a 12MP main wide-angle camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Inside is a 10MP front camera. Unfortunately, the foldable does not appear to have a telephoto lens like the Galaxy S21 series.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will continue to offer a flex mode that allows users to take photos and videos with the fold half open. It also allows the Z Flip 3 to be placed on a flat surface, and the brochure states that "Flex Mode acts as a tripod. This would be useful for time-lapse video. Flex mode also appears to allow for hands-free video calling.

One of the advantages of flex mode is the ability to access controls on the bottom half of the display while viewing content on the top half. The brochure states that the Labs feature can be enabled in the settings to force apps to run in flex mode, but it remains to be seen how well that will work.

While this brochure certainly looks legit, we need to know all August 11 when Samsung is expected to officially announce the Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 3 at its big Unpacked event. We will be there and will bring you all the details live.
