Those who tuned in to watch the equestrian events at the Tokyo Olympics may have been in for a big surprise. It's Jessica Springsteen, daughter of Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa. She is the daughter of Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa.

But she is not done with the Olympics yet. Springsteen is part of a jumping team that has qualifiers and finals this weekend. She and her horse, 12-year-old Don Juan Van de Donkhove, enter the competition ranked 14th in the world.

If you missed the early morning broadcast, you have two more chances to watch the individual all-around final. It will be broadcast on NBC at noon Eastern time and on NBCSN at 11:45 pm.

The equestrian events are not all glitz and glamour. Australia's Jamie Carmond was one absent after testing positive for cocaine metabolites on the first day of competition.

Canada escaped penalties as Mario Deslauriers and his horse Baldolina 2 qualified with a time of 84.76.

The Olympics are a global event and can be seen in almost every country on earth. However, if you are not in your home country and your usual service does not allow you to watch the equestrian events at the Tokyo Olympics, or if you prefer to watch them in your native language, you are not out of luck.

If you want to watch live equestrian action from the Tokyo Olympics, it's time to get caffeinated and look for your cable/streaming login, because you'll need it at NBCOlympics.com. The games will also be broadcast on NBCSN and NBC (often rebroadcast on tape delay).

Of course, Peacock's nightly broadcasts will likely include updates.

USA and NBCSN are part of the $35/month Sling TV Blue package, and Olympic watchers will want the Blue package, which also has NBC. Olympic channels are also available as an add-on for $11/month.

BBC iPlayer used to be the primary source for all Olympic coverage for people in the UK, but things have changed.

The BBC no longer has a monopoly on Olympic coverage in the UK, as the IOC has sold its major European broadcasting rights to the Discovery network. As a result, BBC coverage, while still good, is limited to no more than two live events at a time.

Americans abroad can use any service they like by logging in via a VPN such as ExpressVPN.

Details are not necessarily strong here, as Sportsnet, CBC, and TSN share Olympic coverage, so we have some, but not all, of the details you might need. Unfortunately, none of the networks cover equestrian events.

However, TLN does broadcast most of the games.

Downunder, Aussies can watch the Olympic equestrian events for free on the 7Plus network streaming service. Simply add 14 hours to the following Eastern Standard Time to get the start time of the games in Western Australia Eastern Standard Time.
