Team USA vs Spain men's basketball live stream:Olympics channels, start time and how to watch online

The group leagues have concluded, and the live stream of Team USA vs. Spain is happening right now. But while Kevin Durant and his team are riding a wave of momentum, this may not be a blowout like the team's previous wins (vs. Iran, vs. Czech Republic).

Spain, with superstars like Marc, Pau Gasol, Ricky Rubio, and Rudy Fernandez, is not to be outdone, having won silver medals in 2008 and 2012.

With Team USA warming up, though, they will be hard to stop, even without big names like LeBron James. The U.S. comes into this match on the heels of a dominant 119-84 win over Team Czech Republic on Saturday. This match is the knockout round, and the winner will face the winner of Australia vs. Argentina. The winner of the semifinal will compete for the gold medal and the loser for the bronze medal.

Not to overlook Spain, the Australian team is one of the few concerns at hand. Team USA lost to Australia 91-83 in an exhibition match, but that was before they found their stride. But who will lead the team in this Team USA Basketball live stream from the Tokyo Olympics?

It will probably be Durant. His performance against the Czech Republic made him Team USA's all-time leading Olympic scorer (men). Jayson Tatum had a big game on Saturday, scoring 27 points (team-high) from 16 shots. That included five three-pointers and six shots from the three-point arc.

And just to be impressive: Team USA made 20 three-point shots (more than double their opponents' eight). Team USA also scored 72 points in 20 minutes, which is good no matter who the opponent is (except for the Washington Generals).

Oh, and you have to pay Peacock to watch live.

The Olympics are a global event and can be seen in almost every country on earth. However, if you are not in your home country and cannot watch the live stream of Team USA vs. Spain on your regular service, or if you prefer to watch in your native language, you are not out of luck.

With a virtual private network, or VPN, you can pretend that you are surfing the web from your hometown (or anywhere else where power outages do not occur) and access the same streaming services that you have already paid for. a VPN is completely legal, inexpensive, and easy to use.

Not sure which VPN is right for you? After testing a variety of services, the best VPN overall is ExpressVPN. It offers great speed and excellent customer service. However, there are other VPN options out there.

The VPN is incredibly easy to use.

1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we have mentioned, ExpressVPN is our favorite.

2. select the location you want to connect to with the VPN app. For example, if you are in the US and want to see UK services, select UK from the list.

Unless you have a cable account and can watch on NBCOlympics.com, to watch the live stream of Team USA vs. Spain starting at 12:40 AM ET / 9:40 PM PT, the NBC streaming service Peacock is required.

To watch the tape-delayed stream at 6 p.m. ET, you will need NBC SN, which is included in the $35/month Sling TV Blue package. The Sports Extras package (an additional $11/month) gets you Olympic channels; Sling is one of the best streaming services for Olympic viewing alongside our other recommendation: Fubo TV has over 100 channels (more than Sling).

The games will likely be available on the new Discovery Plus service at around 5:40 PM BST. Discovery Plus purchased the rights to full coverage of the Tokyo Olympics, breaking the BBC's previous monopoly. This year, all sports and all events are available on the Discovery+ or Eurosport channels, whereas the BBC is limited to two live events at a time.

Discovery is currently offering a free three-day trial of the service, after which a full subscription is available for £6.99 per month or £29.99 per year. Additionally, the service can be streamed on a number of devices, including Chromecast, Apple TV, Android TV, and apps for iOS and Android.

Americans abroad can use their favorite service by logging in via a VPN such as ExpressVPN.

The Olympics continue to confuse people in Canada.

TSN may be your best bet, as its schedule lists Olympic coverage from midnight on TSN1 or TSN4; Sportsnet's broadcasts do not air basketball.

Again, Americans can visit their friends in the great white north and just use Peacock, provided they log in via a VPN such as ExpressVPN.

Down Under, Aussies can watch USA vs. Spain for free on the network's 7Plus streaming service. The live stream of USA vs. Spain should begin around 2:40 p.m. AEST.

I am currently out of the country. Please use ExpressVPN to access paid services.
