Samsung Galaxy Z fold tip 3 final design by these cases

If new images posted on a Korean e-commerce site are to be believed, Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3 may look much sleeker than last year's model.

Korean retailer Coupang has posted a clear foldable case for what it claims is the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3, as SamMobile first noticed. The image shows a full rendering of what could be a foldable Samsung flagship, along with what the site says is an image of a phone case for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Of course, it is impossible to tell at this stage whether the leaked case images are real or not, but given that both models are scheduled to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11, it would not be a huge surprise.

If these are accurate, the Z Fold 3 will look not too different from last year's Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. The rendered image shows a device with an elongated display on the front, although no camera is visible.

According to 91mobiles, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is rumored to have a punch-out camera on the outside front of the device, but one wonders how accurate this image is.

Leaked images of the back show a camera array that lacks the rounded rectangular aesthetic that last year's model had, opting instead for a clean oval shape similar to the OnePlus 8. Unlike that phone, the camera in the envisioned image of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is positioned toward the left, rather than in the center of the device.

These images suggest that the Z Fold 3 may appear in a muted color scheme rather than a pop color scheme. If the images posted online prove to be true, it will come in black, white, and seafoam green. Occasionally Samsung does reserve special colors for those who purchase directly through its website.

The images also show the inside of the device, and if this is a real rendering of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, it will again look very similar to the Z Fold 2. The only difference is the lack of a punch-out for the front-facing camera. According to Korean website The Elec, Samsung will add a camera under the display, making it invisible.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 seems to be a strong all-around device, according to the rumors we've heard so far. Not only does it fold up for a mini-tablet experience, but a tweet from prominent leaker Max Weinback claims that the Z Fold 3 could include IPX8 water resistance, which could make it more durable than last year's model.

Whether this is indeed a real image of the Z Fold 3 will soon be known, as Samsung is expected to unveil it along with the similarly rumored Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Watch 4 at the Galaxy Unpacked virtual event on August 11 We will soon find out if this is indeed a genuine image of the Z Fold 3.
