Badminton is one of the most enjoyable sports to watch at any Olympics. But the competition is also fierce, and at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, teams will be competing for gold in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.

The top contenders are China, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Denmark, with the US team looking to win its first medal ever since badminton became an Olympic sport in 1992.

Next up on Friday will be the mixed doubles gold medal match between the two Chinese teams: Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong vs. Wang Yiryu/Huang Dongping. On Saturday, the men's doubles gold medal match will take place.

Here's everything you need to know about watching badminton at the Tokyo Olympics, including the remaining badminton finals schedule.

The Olympics are a global event and can be seen in almost every country on earth. However, if you are not in your home country and cannot watch the Tokyo Olympics badminton games through your usual service, or if you prefer to watch in your native language, you are not out of luck.

If you want to watch live badminton matches from the Tokyo Olympics, you will need to stay up late at night (the live schedule is below) and log in to NBCOlympics.com, which requires a cable TV login. Some matches will also be broadcast on NBCSN at appropriate times (although they are often rebroadcast on tape delay).

Broadcasts on Peacock may also include live streaming of badminton matches and nightly highlights.

NBCSN is part of the $35/month Sling TV Blue package, and Olympic watchers will want the Blue package, which also has NBC. Olympic channels are also available as an add-on for $11/month.

Sling is one of the best streaming services, along with the other services we recommend for Olympic viewing: Fubo TV has over 100 channels (more than Sling), including all the networks mentioned above.

BBC iPlayer used to be the primary source for all Olympic coverage for the British public, but things have changed.

The BBC no longer has a monopoly on Olympic coverage in the UK, as the IOC has sold its major European broadcasting rights to the Discovery Network. As a result, the BBC's coverage, while still good, is limited to no more than two live broadcasts at a time.

Americans abroad can use any service they like by logging in via a VPN such as ExpressVPN.

Details about watching live badminton in Canada are a bit thin; with Sportsnet, CBC, and TSN sharing coverage of the Olympics, we have some, but not all, of the information you might need.
