iPad Air5 can get powerful features like ipad Pro

While there seems to be a lot of talk about the launch of the iPhone 13 ahead of Apple's September event, details are also emerging about the possibility of a new iPad Air 5, an upgraded version of one of the best tablets on the market, the iPad Air.

A recent report from Macotakara claims that the next generation iPad Air could see a handful of upgrades, borrowing some features from the current iPad Pro 2021. The new iPad Air 5 will reportedly feature an upgraded dual-camera system and could be powered by the A15 Bionic chip rumored to be in the next iPhone.

The report also mentions the possibility of 5G connectivity and a LiDAR scanner, although sources point out that the latter has not been confirmed and is of course only a rumor at this stage. There are also reports that the next-generation iPad Air will have a four-speaker audio system. This is a feature that is present in the iPad Pro but not in Cupertino's less expensive tablets.

Aside from these new features, the next iPad Air is expected to have a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display and Touch ID on the tablet's side buttons, as usual.

However, if the display will not change, it may mean that the new iPad Air 5 will not have an OLED panel, contrary to previous reports. The fact that it will not feature a new display may also mean that the 120 Hz Liquid Retina display will no longer be an option.

In other Apple tablet-related news, we have heard that the iPad mini 6 may be announced at Apple's September event alongside the iPhone 13. The possible sixth-generation iPad mini is also said to feature a compact mini LED display, one of the features of the iPad Pro.

In the absence of an official announcement from Apple, all of the above is just rumor and speculation. However, where there is no fire, there is no smoke. We are quietly convinced that Apple could have a busy fall with new phones, iPads, and the new MacBook Pro 2021.
