Team USA vs France men's basketball live stream:Channel, start time and how to watch online

It's live stream time for Team USA vs. France, and the former is getting a much needed boost of extra talent. Yes, now that the NBA Finals are complete, a trio of NBA superstars -- Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday and Chris Middleton -- have flown in for the big game. They hope to be able to play alongside Coach Pop against France in the first Team USA Basketball live stream of the Tokyo Olympics.

And since Team USA has a heavy burden on their shoulders, it's good to see more players living up to their expectations. The men's basketball Olympic team has won gold every time since 2004, and this year's team is shy of major players like LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Anthony Davis.

The big question is whether to watch this game live (more likely if you're from the East Coast) or wait for a replay. Because, not surprisingly, due to the time difference, the games in Tokyo may not be convenient for people in other countries.

Also, you'll need a peacock to watch the live broadcasts.

The Olympics are a global event and can be seen in almost every country on earth. However, if you are not in your country and cannot watch the live stream of Team USA vs. Team France on your usual service, or if you prefer to watch in your native language, you are not out of luck.

With a virtual private network, or VPN, you can pretend that you are surfing the web from your hometown (or anywhere else not hit by power outages) and access the same streaming services that you have already paid for. VPNs are perfectly legal and and inexpensive, and easy to use.

Not sure which VPN is right for you? After testing a variety of services, the best VPN overall is ExpressVPN. It offers great speed and excellent customer service. However, there are other VPN options available.

The VPN is incredibly easy to use.

1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we have mentioned, ExpressVPN is our favorite.

2. select the location you want to connect to with the VPN app. For example, if you are in the US and want to see UK services, select UK from the list.

3. Sit back and enjoy the action. Go to your preferred website or streaming service and tune in.

Unless you have a cable account and can watch on NBCOlympics.com, you will need NBC's streaming service Peacock to watch Team USA vs. France live stream.

To watch the tape delay stream, you need NBC, which is included in the $35/month Sling TV Blue package. The Sports Extras package (an extra $11/month) gets you Olympic channels; Sling is one of the best streaming services for Olympic viewing alongside our other recommendation: Fubo TV has over 100 channels (more than Sling), including all of the above networks.

BBC iPlayer has been the primary source for all Olympic coverage for people in the UK, but they do not list a live stream of Team USA vs. France starting at 1pm (BST).

Again, no details are available.

Sportsnet's schedule shows basketball from 12 a.m. ET to 6 a.m. ET; TSN also airs the Olympics in the early hours, but not by sport.

Again, Americans can log in via a VPN, such as ExpressVPN, to use Peacock to visit friends in the North.
