Flight Attendant Season 2: Everything You Know So Far

"Flight Attendant" Season 2 is coming to HBO Max. The first season of this dark comedy/thriller was not only a hit for the streaming service, but also garnered a slew of Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. Starring Kaley Cuoco, who celebrated her first Emmy nomination after many years of blanks for The Big Bang Theory.

"Flight Attendant" Season 2 will introduce a major change upon its return to HBO Max. The series received a tax break from the state of California, which allowed it to move its setting from New York to sunny Los Angeles

"Flight Attendant" follows Cathy Bowden, the main character. On a flight to Bangkok, she meets and flirts with handsome passenger Alex Sokolov (Michiel Uysman). After landing, they hook up, but when Cathy wakes up the next morning, Alex is dead in the bed next to her.

Terrified and hungover, she decides not to call the police. That was the beginning of a series of bad decisions that got her into trouble. Cathy's predicament eventually draws her lawyer friend Annie (Zosia Mamet).

"Flight Attendant" was initially billed as a miniseries, but a second season was planned from the beginning.

"I hope this doesn't sound too cheeky, but we always had the idea for season two," Cuoco said. We had a very clear path of what season two was going to look like, and we know exactly what it's going to look like."

Here's everything we know about "Flight Attendant" Season 2 so far.

The plane is still taxiing; HBO Max has not set a specific release date for "The Flight Attendant" Season 2. Nevertheless, we do have a window for a release date.

Streamers ordered Season 2 on December 18, the day after the Season 1 finale aired; in March, Warner Media CEO Jason Killer announced that The Flight Attendant was HBO Max's most-watched series and that Season 2 would He announced that it would debut in the spring of 2022.

The cast of Flight Attendant is led by Kaley Cuoco as Imperial Airlines employee Kathy Borden.

Other cast members who may return for Season 2 include:

Other key cast members such as Michiel Huisman as Alex Sokoloff and Colin Woodell as Buckley Ware are unlikely to appear. However, we can never say never. After all, Alex died in the first episode, but appeared throughout the season in Cathy's "Mind Palace." Both he and Buckley could return, either as visions/ghosts or in flashbacks.

Before delving into possible storylines for Season 2, let's review the ending of "Flight Attendant" Season 1.

Cassie and Miranda fly to Rome, their plan to frame Buckley (aka Felix) falls apart, and Cassie is left to face him alone. She is saved in the end by Shane, who turns out to be a CIA operative. Meanwhile, Miranda retrieved Alex's book (with bank account numbers) and disappeared with the money. With her stigma cleared, Cassie has sobered up and has been reinstated at Imperial Airlines. In addition, she receives an invitation from Shane to become an "agent" for the CIA.

So begins a possible "Flight Attendant" Season 2--Cassie continues to fly around the world, ostensibly as an airline employee, but embarking on covert CIA missions. Since she is not trained, her assignments are expected to be "soft" ones (eavesdropping, relationship building, etc.).

Season 2 could follow Megan's escape after selling government secrets to North Korea. And we'll get a peek at what Annie will do after leaving a top law firm and where Miranda (and a lot of money) will go. [31] [32] As showrunner Steve Yockey told Variety magazine, "If we decide to do another one, I think the way forward for us really is to be another adventure for Cathy, like the Hitchcock character. Because she's really trying to live sober and make better choices."

During the Deadline panel, Cuoco gave more previews of what we can expect from "Flight Attendant" Season 2. What fans won't see is Cathy playing Sydney Bristowe in "Alias."

"When we decided we wanted to do a second season, it was very clear that we didn't want Cassie to suddenly be like a great FBI agent," she explained. [Cassie] is moving to Los Angeles." [Kathy] moves to LA in her first year of sobriety and makes all the wrong decisions about what not to do when getting sober and quickly learns that it's not as easy as she thought," she explained.

On May 19, TBS announced that it would air Season 1 of "Flight Attendant" in 2022, ahead of the second season premiere on HBO Max.

The romantic comedy "Love Life," starring Anna Kendrick, will also air on TBS.
