As we get closer to the rumored Apple event, the iPhone 13 release date seems to be narrowing. Additionally, it appears that a 1TB storage option may be on the horizon once again.

According to analyst firm Wedbush via 9to5Mac, the iPhone 13 series is expected to launch in the third week of September. However, it is not clear from this report whether they are talking about an Apple event or the release date of the phone itself.

If Apple is holding the iPhone 13 event in the third week of September, then the release date would be September 14. Reservations would then begin on that Friday, and the actual iPhone 13 release date (launch date) would be September 24.

More importantly, Wedbush claims that "the iPhone 13 will have a 1 terabyte storage option, which is double the current largest storage capacity of the Pro (512GB), and all 13 models will include many enhancements with Lidar

The company has previously announced that it would be offering a "Lidar-based storage option.

Previously, another research firm, Trendforce, had kicked the 1TB rumor to the curb and said that the iPhone 13 series would be up to 512GB. Therefore, it is difficult to say which analyst is correct at this stage.

The current iPhone 12 Pro storage is $999 for 128GB and $1299 for 512GB. In other words, our hope is that Apple will offer 256GB of base storage for the iPhone 13 Pro at the same starting price, and you can get 1TB for $1,299.

Wedbush further states that demand for the iPhone 13 will be equal to or slightly stronger than the iPhone 12. He also estimates that the supply chain checks in at 90 to 100 million units produced, well above last year's 80 million units.

The iPhone 13 is rumored to offer a variety of upgrades, including a faster A15 Bionic chip, a new faster 5G modem, and enhanced computational photography, including a portrait video mode and astrophotography for shooting the night sky.
