Marvel's Secret Invasion Show: Everything We Know So Far

Marvel's "Secret Invasion" just got even more spectacular. One of Marvel's upcoming shows on Disney Plus, "Secret Invasion," will now include one of our favorite actors in addition to the recently added Queen (and Mother of Dragons).

From what we know, Marvel's "Secret Invasion" is a little wilder than "Falcon" and "The Winter Soldier," but not as strange as "Wander Vision." And in a way, that makes a lot of sense for this particular show.

A mysterious, larger force has infiltrated Earth, and only Nick Fury and his friend Talos can help. Don't know Talos? Now is the perfect time to fire up Disney Plus and watch (or re-watch) "Captain Marvel". Then you'll be able to tell the Skrulls from the Kree and be ready to understand what's next for the MCU.

As for the show's pedigree, Kyle Bradstreet ("Mr. Robot") will write and executive produce. The show will begin production in the UK and Europe this fall.

Yes, as you may have first learned from watching "Captain Marvel," the shape-shifting alien race known as the Skrulls have returned and crept into positions of great power. And to defeat them, they need the Skrulls' help.

In Marvel's "Secret Invasion," Nick Fury reunites with friendly intergalactic Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) to take down the Skrulls who have deceived humanity. We're guessing a fair amount of espionage will take place, but expect big cameos from celebrities who have been Skrulls all along.

Like the Skrull force this show is focused on, Marvel's Secret Invasion is (so far) sneaking up on us. Filming is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2021, so expect it to appear as early as fall 2022.

Other Disney Plus shows with no set dates include:

Currently, the cast of "Marvel's Secret Invasion" is short. How short? Jackson and Mendelsohn are just two of the five names we know of; on April 19, Olivia Colman ("The Crown," "The Favourite," "Fleabag") was in talks to join the series, The Hollywood Reporter. Then, on April 20, Deadline broke the news that Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") would be joining the series.

Clarke told The Hollywood Reporter that she is interested in spending a decade in the MCU, and when asked about the possibility, she said, "I mean, I should be very lucky. Everyone I know, everyone I've talked to who is part of the Marvel Universe, and every actor I've talked to! Everyone speaks only the highest praise. There is a reason actors stay in this world. They are loved because they have fun. So I'm down for that. Of course!"

Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore) is a new addition to Secret Invasion, and when asked by The Movie Dweeb for tips, he replied, "He's alive!" He replied. When asked if he would be Spider-Man's enemy Norman Osborn, he simply said, "No, I'm not going to say anything." In the same interview, he suggested that filming for the series would begin in August 2021.

Another casting news is that Kingsley Ben-Adil of "Miami Nights" will play the villain.
