The Samsung Unpacked event appears to be set at 8 May 11, according to Samsung Russia

We had already heard rumors that Samsung's next Unpacked event would take place on August 11. But now it seems that Samsung itself has confirmed that fact.

A teaser for the event, which is expected to feature something like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Watch 4, was posted on Samsung Russia's website. (It has since been removed.) Not only does the incident appear to confirm the August 11 date, it also states that the event could take place at 10:00 AM EST.

However, it takes a little time to understand the design behind this teaser. At first glance, it looks a bit basic and not at all convincing, but a closer look will reveal that it actually hides two phones that are expected to be announced at the event: the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

If you can't tell yet, the two black and gray rectangles on the left side look exactly like the Galaxy Z Fold handsets. The purple and gray square on the right, on the other hand, looks like a reversed Z Flip. Subtle, but still quite clever.

We have already heard many rumors that August 11 will be the date of the big unboxing event. We have heard this date from leakers Frontron, Ice Universe, and Evan Blas, along with news organizations like Korea Daily.

We have had our doubts about these leaks in the past, but it is possible they were telling us the truth all along. The fact that today's teaser originated from Samsung's regional site serves to confirm its legitimacy, after all. However, it has not been confirmed by Samsung Korea or Samsung USA, so the situation could change in the coming days.

Unpacked 2021 is expected to showcase the next wave of Samsung foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and possibly the Z Flip Lite. little is known about the Lite model, but the Fold 3 and Flip 3 are rumored to have 120Hz displays and under-display cameras. The Z Fold 3, on the other hand, is expected to support the S Pen, like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The Galaxy Watch 4 is supposed to bring some new health and fitness features that may include a body composition monitor. It will also feature a new version of Google's Wear OS instead of Tizen-based software. The Galaxy Buds 3 may offer active noise cancellation, a first for Samsung's entry-level wireless earbuds.

Assuming the teaser posted by Samsung Russia is legitimate, it shouldn't be too long before Samsung confirms when the next Unpacked will actually take place. Especially considering that August 11 is only three and a half weeks away.
