The MacBook Pro2021 with a mini LED display is likely to be released soon on May 9

The MacBook Pro 2021 is increasingly likely to appear this fall, with Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reiterating that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 could appear anytime between September and November.

In his newsletter Power On (via MacRumors), Gurman claims that the next-generation MacBook Pro was supposed to be released earlier this year, but complications surrounding the production of the mini LED display technology have pushed the launch back to the fall. According to Gurman, the new MacBook Pro could be released in November at the latest.

While we cannot confirm this information, Gurman is a fairly reliable technical informant. There are also many other rumors suggesting that the next generation MacBook Pro could appear around September, possibly coinciding with the rumored iPhone 13 release.

The so-called AirPods 3 and Apple Watch 7 are also expected to arrive in the fall.

The MacBook Pro 2021 is expected to undergo a significant redesign, somewhat overhauling the current MacBook Pro M1's somewhat long-standing design.

The narrower display bezel is expected to allow the base MacBook Pro to accommodate a 14-inch display. The screen's mini-LED technology will also improve the brightness, color, and contrast of the Retina display, potentially making it a killer device for photographers and video editors.

Besides the screen, the next MacBook Pro is also said to break away from Apple's "USB-C only" approach by eliminating the Touch Bar and adding an HDMI port and an ultra-fast UHS-II SD card slot.

And under the hood, the 14- and 16-inch laptops are expected to replace the Apple M1 chip with the rumored upgraded M1X chip. the M1X is a 10 CPU consisting of eight high-performance cores and two energy efficient cores (up from eight). The so-called Apple M2 chip is currently expected to appear next year and may be found in the new MacBook Air.

In short, the fall could bring one of the biggest cosmetic changes to the MacBook Pro in five years, and this model's braces could be a serious contender for our best laptops list.
