F1 UK Grand Prix Live Stream: How to watch, start time, channels

[Red Bull's Max Verstappen once again took pole position. [Verstappen beat Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton to the number one spot on the grid in the Formula 1 sprint qualifying session at Silverstone yesterday (July 17).

The young Dutchman's victory in the 17-lap, 100-km race not only puts him on pole position for today's Grand Prix, but also gives him three championship points to Hamilton's two.

The starting order for the sprint race was determined during qualifying on Friday, and Hamilton took the lead there to the delight of the 86,000-strong crowd. However, he got off to a poor start in the sprints, and although he threatened Verstappen several times on the opening lap, he was unable to get close to the superior Red Bull after that.

Behind him, Valtteri Bottas was third, Charles Leclerc fourth, and the McLarens of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo fifth and sixth. Williams' George Russell did well to finish ninth, but received a three-place grid demotion for causing a collision in the sprint.

The race itself was all set up well, and you can watch it all online via the F1 British Grand Prix live stream. Read on to find out how to do that.

It's natural to want to watch the F1 British Grand Prix live stream from your home country, but what if you're not there when the race is taking place?

Nothing beats a VPN, or virtual private network, which makes it appear as if you are surfing the Internet from your home country, not the country you are in. That means you can access the streaming services you've already paid for from anywhere on the planet. Or at least, anywhere you have an Internet connection.

For example, a Brit currently in the US can watch a live stream of the F1 British Grand Prix on Channel 4's All 4 player

without being in the UK. We tested a lot of the best VPN services and right now our favorite is ExpressVPN. It's fast, works on a variety of devices, and has a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Using a VPN is incredibly easy.

1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we have mentioned, ExpressVPN is our favorite.

2. select the location you want to connect to with the VPN app. For example, if you are in the U.S. and want to see services in the U.K., select U.K. from the list.

3. sit back and enjoy the action; access All 4 or another website to watch the race.

In the U.S., "ESPN" offers a live stream of the F1 British Grand Prix.

You can watch the race on weekends through cable services, as well as through the ESPN app and the "Watch" section of the ESPN website. However, satellite, cable, and live TV provider certification is required to view the sessions. In addition, Formula 1 is not available on ESPN Plus, ESPN's stand-alone streaming service, and requires access to ESPN's live channel.

ESPN is available on most cable TV packages as well as cable TV alternatives such as Sling TV, Fubo.TV, YouTube TV, and Hulu with Live TV. In any case, coverage of the big race begins at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday.

If you somehow don't want to pay for ESPN's live coverage, there is an option called F1 TV Pro. This is F1's own official live stream service, which uses feeds from Sky Sports F1 as well as ESPN's own broadcasts.

F1 TV Pro costs $10 per month or $80 for the season, a much better deal considering that there are 23 races this year. In addition, you can watch Formula 2, Formula 3, and Porsche Supercup races, as well as archives of classic F1 Grand Prix races.

And remember, if you're usually based in the US. F1 live streams can now be seen from anywhere in the world.

Formula 1 fans in the UK have a new option this weekend, with Channel 4 offering full coverage of the three-day British Grand Prix.

This means that the practice sessions, standard qualifying, sprint qualifying, and even the race itself will be available through the online all-4 portal. All of this is completely free, but you can pay for an upgrade if you want to get rid of the ads.

Of course, Sky Sports F1 will also broadcast all the action from the British Grand Prix in up to 4K resolution.

To watch the live stream of the F1 British Grand Prix, you must be a Sky Sports subscriber; the Sky Sports F1 channel is available for £18 per month, with packages available for even more channels for just a little extra.

To watch in ultra high-definition 4K, you'll need to pay a bit more: a Sky Q set-top box and a package that includes both Ultra HD and Sky Sports F1. In total, this will cost £45 per month, or a one-time payment of £20 if you are not an existing subscriber.

A much cheaper option is to purchase the Now Sports Pass. This gives access to all 11 Sky Sports channels for a limited time, with prices starting at £9.99 for a daily pass and £33.99 for a month. However, 4K is not available.

Again, if you are normally based in the UK but are currently elsewhere, you can still watch the services you subscribe to with one of the best VPN services.

In Canada, TSN broadcasts all F1 races in English, while RDS broadcasts in French; F1 TV Pro also remains an option for fans looking for a live F1 stream. [All sessions are broadcast on TSN, and if you receive the network through a cable or satellite provider, you can use TSN Go by signing in with your TV service credentials. Cord cutters will want to check out TSN Direct, which comes with one-day and one-month passes for $8 or $20 Canadian, respectively; the TSN app allows you to live stream the races from your phone, streaming box, or compatible device.

Not available in Canada at this time; ExpressVPN or other VPN services can be used to access the services you already subscribe to.

Fox Sports has the rights to the F1 British Grand Prix live stream in Australia, and you can watch the 2021 British Grand Prix online via Foxtel.

Kayo Sports is another option. The service offers a 14-day free trial to new subscribers, with one-month subscriptions starting at $25.

You can also use one of the best VPN services to follow the matches in your country even if you are elsewhere.

The British GP weekend will have a different format than previous GPs, with sprint qualifying added to the mix.
