The season of summer horror is upon us, and FX on Hulu's anthology series is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy's hit American Horror Story. But whereas AHS explores a new story each season, American Horror Stories will feature a different plot and cast for all 16 episodes of season one.

American Horror Stories' rotating cast includes Matt Bomer, Billy Lord, John Carroll Lynch, and Charles Melton, all of whom have previously worked on AHS. Some new faces: Kevin McHale, Paris Jackson, Kaia Gerber, Aaron Tveit, Danny Trejo (as Murder Santa).

American Horror Stories will premiere in two episodes. In the first episode, "Rubber(wo)Man," a teenager and his father move into a rundown house with a tragic past. While renovating the building, a darkness takes root within them.

In episode two, "Rubber(wo)Man Part Two," Michael and Troy are forced to confront their rocky relationship while Scarlett enters into a warped new romance.

The episode title references Rubber Man, a character played by Evan Peters in AHS Season 1.

The first two episodes of American Horror Story are now available on Hulu.

They premiered on Thursday, July 15. The remaining episodes of season one will be available every Thursday.

The trailer for American Horror Stories certainly sets the mood. One character says, "It looks like Amityville Horror with crystal meth." The video then flashes to various episodes. In one, an audience member runs away from a drive-in movie. In another episode, Danny Trejo's Santa eerily croaks "Ho ho ho ho."
