Chris Hemsworth's Loki cameo was already happening - did you miss it?

Loki's brother (by adoption) Thor is not yet overshadowed by his older brother in the Loki TV Show, but the actor playing him is already on the show. It's one of those moments you'd miss if you blinked, and one of those moments you probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't been told it was there.

The news comes from the For All Nerds podcast, where Thor director Kate Herron revealed the Easter egg-level appearance. It turns out that Thor's frog variant, Throgg, was actually voiced by the God of Thunder himself.

Herron revealed the cameo, stating that it was not a mere use of a voice actor, "Chris Hemsworth recorded it for that purpose. By the way, Chris Hemsworth recorded it for that purpose. Chris Hemsworth's voice saying, 'Oh! Chris Hemsworth's voice. That's a brand new recording. It's not a rerecording. He recorded it.

So even though they didn't have to do this, the people behind Loki can pull off some very strange and unnecessary stunt voice casting. In terms of esoteric fan service, it's like making the Loki show part of the MCU.

And that was just one of many Easter eggs in "Loki" Episode 5. Most notably, the Thanos Copter, reminiscent of "Spidey Superstories" episode 39. According to Kate Herron on the "For All Nerds" podcast, this was because executive producer Kevin Wright remembered that moment when Thanos flew around New York in a helicopter bearing his name.

Finally, let's mention an Easter egg that could have a high-level impact. Sharp-eyed fans noticed that the Avengers Tower in "Loki" episode 5 had another brand name: Qeng Enterprises.

In the comics, Kang the Conquer bought Avengers Tower from Stark Industries under the alias Mr. Griffon. Kang has the potential to become a major big bad in future Marvel films and will appear in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantamania, to be played by Jonathan Major ("Lovecraft Country").

He has long been rumored to appear in "Loki" because of Kang's connections to TVA and Lavonna Lenslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw). And since the identity of the TVA mastermind is about to be revealed in a big way, there is reason to suspect that Kang is that villain. Nevertheless, the Qeng Enterprises logo may not have much of an impact, and it may as well be a Sanoscopter.
