Even if you don't have cable, watching Shark Week 2021 online will put the spotlight on the ocean's top predators. The annual special starts today, but getting in the water could be dangerous.

And this year, the Discovery Channel isn't alone. The newly launched streaming service Discovery Plus is also expanding its lineup of shark-related specials with stars such as Tiffany Haddish, Brad Paisley, Noah Schnapp of "Stranger Things" and William Shatner to provide some flippant fun.

Now in its 33rd year, Shark Week kicks off Sunday with an all-new special hosted by Robert Irwin (Steve Irwin's son). Shark lovers can then immerse themselves in 45 hours of programming. Viewers will be able to go to new places and see new shark behaviors never before seen on camera.

While most of the specials will air on the Discovery Channel, some programs are exclusive to Discovery Plus. One of these is the first shark series, Shark Academy, a competition for a spot on a shark diving expedition. All specials will also be available on demand on this streaming service.
