What should Marvel do?..? Release date, trailer, cast, etc.

"What If...? has a release date and a new trailer has been released. For those of you who wondered how long you would have to wait after "Loki," Marvel has some good news. The anthology animated series will premiere this August, but not on the date originally announced.

This falls between "Black Widow and Loki" and "Shan Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," which is scheduled for release in September. The good news is that unlike other MCU series airing on Disney Plus, "What If?" exploring another take on an existing MCU story is not related to the mainstream canon. As such, viewers can watch at their own pace without worrying about how it will affect the next movie or TV series.

Disney had already confirmed that "What If" would be available at some point in August, but an international press release revealed the exact date the first episode will be available. The company had previously announced that new episodes of "Loki" would be delivered on Wednesdays, but has now returned to Disney's standard Friday delivery date.

However, on July 8, Marvel announced a new "What If...?" release date, sticking to Wednesdays and confirming that the series would debut on August 11.

"What If..." 's new trailer highlights the most fascinating aspect of the new series: the return of Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa. And in this clip, he is working with Yondu. The clip lays heavy emphasis on the idea of multiverse and alternate realities, which Marvel fans have been thinking about a lot lately thanks to "Loki," "Spider-Man: No Way Home," "Dr. Strange 2," and others.

Marvel has been very secretive about what to expect from "What If?" but the original trailer did show off some storylines. What If Agent Carter had taken the Super Soldier Serum? What if T'Challa is Star-Lord? Etc.

The first season will have 10 episodes, with each episode narrated by Watcher Wuatu, voiced by Westworld star Jeffrey Wright. As can be seen in the list below, the majority of MCU characters will be voiced by original actors.

This means that this will be the last appearance of Chadwick Boseman, who has returned to voice T'Challa in at least one episode.

However, Marvel fans who have been thinking about canceling their Disney Plus subscriptions for a few months may want to hold off on their decision. You wouldn't want to miss out on the nearly nonstop Marvel fun at Disney Towers, would you?
