Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Tilt to launch on Galaxy Watch 4/11

Several Samsung products are reported to be announced, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Watch 4. Presumably these will be announced at the Unpacked event, but when will that be?

Korea's Daily reports that an unnamed Samsung executive has confirmed that date and time. If this source is legitimate, it would mean that the next wave of Galaxy products could appear on August 11 at 10:00 AM ET.

This date is certainly compelling given Samsung's tendency to announce late 2021 devices in August; the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 10 appeared on August 5 and August 7, respectively, while the previous year's Galaxy Note 9 launched much later, on August 23 The previous year's Galaxy Note 9 was launched much later, on August 23.

Leaker @Frontron also posted what he claims is a teaser image of the upcoming Unpacked, which seems to confirm both the date and time of the event.

However, the image is just text and does not include the special artwork usually included in Unpacked announcements. It may have been created by someone in MS Paint.

But without official confirmation from Samsung itself, there is no way to say how true this date is. Executives who wish to remain anonymous are, after all, not the best source of information.

The star of the event will be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Not only will it have a foldable display (7.5 inches if rumors are to be believed), but FCC documents reveal that it will also support the S Pen stylus. Rumors suggest that there may also be an under-display camera inside, and that it will also get an official IP waterproof rating.

Meanwhile, the Z Flip 3 is said to continue the clamshell foldable design, and rumors suggest it may feature a dual-lens rear camera and a larger cover display than the previous model.

The Galaxy Watch 4 with a new version of Wear OS is also expected to be Unpacked. If rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy Buds 2 may also be seen at this event.

We will keep you posted on the next Unpacked event as information becomes available, so stay tuned to Tom's Guide for the latest news and rumors.
