Nevertheless, Kucherov did not even score until the third period. Tampa Bay took its first lead when Erik Cernak found the net with 13:41 left in the first period.

Then Blake Coleman and Yani Goude scored goal two in the second period. The Hab got its first and only goal of the game thanks to a slap shot by Ben Chiaro. But back-to-back goals and assists by Kucherov sealed the win for Tampa Bay.
