If rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are just months away from a possible announcement and launch. Both Samsung models have been the subject of several leaks in recent months, and this new leak by Evan Blass shows what appears to be the final design of both models.

In addition, Blass claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will support the S Pen - which confirms information from the FCC filing we saw earlier this week. Samsung may be doing this in the hopes of making the Z Fold 3 the perfect successor to the fan-favorite Galaxy Note series, although it seems unlikely that a new version will be released in 2021.

Blass leaked two images. Both models are foldable, with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 catching the eye. Samsung appears to have adopted the design language of the Galaxy S21 series, with a vertical camera layout and two-tone color scheme. It also has a larger outer display relative to the Galaxy Z Flip.

In this regard, the name Z Flip 3 makes sense, as Samsung seemed to consider the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G as separate products. We have said this would be the case, especially since Samsung prefers to unify product numbers (see the ill-fated Note 7, which should have been the Note 6, for reference).

Of course, the star here is the second photo that Blass posted on Twitter. This image shows the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the S Pen next to it. This clearly suggests that the Z Fold 3 will support an S Pen, probably the same one used by the Galaxy S21 Ultra. This makes sense, as the Z Fold line has long been rumored to replace the venerable Note series.

There is no firm date yet on when Samsung plans to announce the new foldable or when it will be available, but this news is expected to leak fairly soon. Rumors suggest an August timeline so that Samsung can beat the frenzy that the iPhone 13 will engender.
