In a casting decision that can only be described as "complete genius," Netflix's new film "Gunpowder Milkshake" stars Karen Gillan and Lena Headey as a mother-daughter duo of assassins, and the co-starring of two popular actresses should make for an engaging film for viewers. ...

The cast also includes Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett, and Paul Giamatti, who seem to run a small band of assassins for hire. We think this is a John Wick competitor and hope someone decides to write a John Wick/gunpowder milkshake crossover as soon as possible.

"Gunpowder Milkshake" will be released in select theaters and on Netflix on July 14. However, this is only in the US. An international release date will be announced later.

Netflix has released a new "Gunpowder Milkshake" trailer. The trailer shows the world of Sam (Karen Gillan) and the men who hunt down Emily (Chloe Coleman), a young eight-year-old whom Sam chooses to protect over his duties as a hit man. Stylish at its best.

The cast of Gunpowder Milkshake is primarily built around Sam, an assassin played by Karen Gillan, with a trio of weapon-laden "librarians" Madeleine (Carla Gugino), Florence (Michelle Yeoh), and Anna Mae (Angela Bassett) helping him become.

Paul Giamatti is Nathan, a crime lord who tries to stop Sam and is also helped by her mother Scarlett (Lena Headey).

The poster for "Gunpowder Milkshake" screams out the position of Gillan and her co-star as a weapon-wielding woman who doesn't want to go against the grain.

While the publicity for "Gunpowder Milkshake" is palpable, it is not necessary to spend much time explaining the plot. The trailer does a good job of outlining a fairly predictable outline. A woman is tasked with killing a specific target. She realizes that something is wrong, and she is out of the plan. She then seeks help from her estranged mother who abandoned her.

Story aside, the whole thing seems like a big deal. Karen Gillan continues to take Hollywood by storm with her outstanding abilities, and perhaps everyone will enjoy watching this because there was just enough time to pull Lena Headey away from Cersei Lannister's ugliness. Gillan continues to take the film world by storm with his new film "Thor" (originally titled "Love and Thunder"), in which he reprises his role as Nebula alongside Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman.

The film will hit theaters worldwide in July. U.S. residents can watch it streaming at the push of a button on July 14. While watching at home is tempting, this sounds like a movie you'll want to see in theaters.
