With the launch of the Pixel 6 coming up later this year, it seems that Google has an additional surprise in store for us, perhaps in the form of the new Pixel Stand wireless charger. Even better, the updated Pixel Stand could feature a fan to cool the pad and phone, which could speed up wireless charging.

9to5Google discovered the possible existence of the new Pixel Stand by diving into the Android 12 beta 2 code. There is a reference there to the new Made by Google wireless charger. The logical conclusion is that this new charger will be the second Pixel Stand and could launch with the Pixel 6 later this year.

The first Pixel Stand's maximum power output was 10W, not the speediest way to charge a phone wirelessly. However, the stand was the perfect accessory for use on a desk, so it may not have needed to charge so fast at the time. [But since then, OnePlus has released a 50W wireless Warp charger that also features a cooling fan.

If the new Pixel Stand has a fan as rumored, that would mean faster speeds. However, it should be remembered that Samsung has used fans in several wireless chargers in the past, some as low as 10W.

One of my personal complaints about the Pixel 5 is that charging is slow at 18W, which already feels slow when compared to the blazing fast charging speeds of even the Galaxy S21 and iPhone 12, especially the OnePlus 9 Pro. As a matter of fact, fast charging is part of my wish list for the Pixel 6.

There's going to be a great event later this year, probably in October when the new Pixel usually debuts; Google may have some great things in store for us, and we can't wait to get our hands on the Pixel 6.

When the Pixel 6 arrives, we can expect a return to two models (Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro), camera upgrades, display improvements, and an all-new design. that the final release of Android 12 will likely occur before the phone's launch. coupled with the fact that it will likely be a good time for Android fans.
