When you watch "In the Heights" online at HBO Maxx, it's time to visit Washington Heights (or the movie theater, if the barrio allows). Yes, it's finally time for Lin Manuel Miranda's other massive project to shine on the big and small screen.

The film is, of course, an adaptation of LMM's 2012 play of the same name. Starring Anthony Ramos, Hamilton fans will recall that he played both John Lawrence and Philip Hamilton. He is flanked by other big names in the cast, including Jimmy Smits ("NYPD Blue"), Stephanie Beatriz ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine"), and Dascha Polanco ("Orange is the New Black"). Musician Marc Anthony also appears in the film.

The film focuses on the struggles of young people in upper Manhattan. The film depicts the struggles of the young people who were brought to the United States under the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, also known as the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act). DREAMers are at risk of deportation, and Block is trying to find a solution.

All in all, "In the Heights" sounds like the kind of feel-good movie that many people really need right now. Its musical numbers and liveliness should bring excitement to your evening.

In the United States, In the Heights opened in theaters and on HBO Max on June 10. The streaming service added it on June 10 at 3:00 a.m. ET and will offer it through Sunday, July 11, following HBO Max's practice of offering new Warner releases for 31 days.

"In the Heights" is not in the ad-supported version of HBO Max.

Complicated news for our neighbors in the Great White North! You may not have HBO Max, but "In the Heights" is available on paid video-on-demand services ($24.99 (plus tax) for a 48-hour rental) or in theaters.

Our friends across the pond have not gotten HBO Max, so they will have to wait a bit, according to IMDb and other sites and In the Heights will be released in the UK on June 18.
