iOS15developer beta - How to Download to Your iPhone Now

iOS 15 is here. At least for developers, as Apple wants app makers to spend their time testing the latest features of the upcoming iPhone software update. As a registered developer, you can not only see what features are new, but you can also check to see if your app is compatible with iOS 15, which will be released later this year.

Apple announced iOS 15 at WWDC in 2021, and there are many more new features, including revamped notifications, SharePlay for watching videos with others via FaceTime, Photo Memories, a redesigned Safari, and more.

Of course, before we dive in, we must give a big warning. Not only is this beta software and likely to have stability and compatibility issues, but it is limited to those with developer accounts.

If you are itching to try out iOS 15 but are not a developer, just be patient now. The public beta will be released in July and should be much more stable than the developer release. It will also be available for free and will run on the same phones that can run iOS 14. That means iPhone 6s or later.

Now, how to install the iOS 15 beta.

1. Check to see if your iPhone is supported. Apple has a long list of supported devices for the beta, as you can see here.

2. go to developer.apple.com for the iPhone you wish to install the beta on.

3. Tap the "More" menu (two horizontal lines) in the upper left corner, then "Discover," then "iOS."

4. Tap "Download.

5. Enter your Apple ID and password.

6. Select Install Profile next to iOS 15 beta.

7. Tap Allow and give your iPhone permission to perform the installation.

8. Click Install, enter the passcode, and click Install again.

9. Click Restart and your iPhone will restart.

Once your iPhone restarts, it is ready to accept the iOS 15 developer beta update. But proceed with caution.

Once the public beta is released in July, we will update the iOS 15 download guide.
