iPadOS15developer beta - How to Download Now

WWDC has come and gone, and today (June 7), when the developer beta is released, a select few will be able to download the iPadOS 15 beta. This is the way Apple has done it in the past, virtual developer conference or not.

The rest of the general public will not be able to try iPadOS 15 until the public beta comes out in July. But for those who are ready to get their apps ready for this year's big update, or simply want to try out the latest features, we've got all the information you need to install the iPadOS 15 beta.

The new multitasking tools look great, and Quick Notes seems a no-brainer. The new Safari looks very strange and I would like to see how the new bookmark layout actually works.

But of course, iPadOS 15 (like all beta releases) has a few asterisks to be aware of up front. As always, this is the first of two iPadOS 15 betas, with the developer version being the riskier version. Of course, it will require a $100 Apple Developer account (which can be purchased here), which will eradicate the hobbyist.

The public beta, on the other hand, seems a bit more reliable, as it has a bit more time in the oven!

First, make sure your iPad is backed up. iCloud Backups is the easiest way to do this. 11]

Connect your iPad, open Finder, select your iPad in the left menu, and click Summary, which will take you to your Mac to back up locally to your Mac by clicking [Summary].

Then under "Backup" select "This Computer" (unlike iCloud) and click "Backup Now."

Also, if you are already using iPadOS 14, you do not need to worry about compatibility. iPadOS 15 supports the exact same iPads as iPadOS 14. If you are not using iPadOS 14, please see the list of supported iPads:
