The Gentleman Thief is back Netflix has already revealed the release date and released a trailer. Lupin delivered five episodes and closed with a big cliffhanger. And as seen in Netflix's Geeked Week sneak peek, Lupin must team up with an enemy he usually avoids: the police. The scene showed Lupin with Detective Gedira in his car, presumably on a search for Lupin's kidnapped son.

Lupin features Assan Diop (Omar Sy), a con man inspired by the master thief Arsène Lupin, created by author Maurice Leblanc in his turn-of-the-century novel. Assan is trying to avenge his late father, who was falsely accused of stealing an expensive necklace from his employer, the Pellegrini family.

In the first part of "Lupin," Assassin is depicted as a robber with a large sum of money, seeking information about the diabolical patriarch Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) and balancing it with taking care of his son Raoul (Etienne Simon) and his former lover Claire (Ludivine Sagnier).

In the midst of all this, Assan's past flashes back, including his father's introduction to Lupin's books, meeting Claire as a teenager, and pulling off a heist with impunity.

Episode 5 ends with a heart-stopping cliffhanger: Raoul goes missing while the family is attending a Lupin-themed festival. Unbeknownst to Assan, he has been taken by Hubert Pelligrini's henchman, Leonard.

Netflix will release Lupin part 2 on Friday, June 11.

According to Netflix's official synopsis, "In revenge for Hubert Pelligrini, Athan tore his family apart. With his back against the wall, he must now devise a new plan, even at his own peril."

The trailer for Lupin Part 2 begins with a quick recap of how Part 1 ended: Athan's son Raoul is kidnapped by Pellegrini's henchmen.

But Assan's quest to rescue Raoul is greatly complicated by the fact that Pellegrini is in cahoots with the police. Assan is now the most wanted man in France. What to do / he has no choice but to disappear.

The first teaser trailer was released in early March, giving fans a sneak peek of what will happen in "Lupin" Part 2. In the video, Athan issues a stern warning, "If you touch my son, I will kill you." Will Athan be able to use his special abilities to save his son?

On May 5, Netflix released the first images from Lupin part 2, and while the five images do not tell us much, they do show Assan looking out over Paris from a clock tower. He is also climbing a ladder in what appears to be a sewer tunnel.

Part 2 of Lupin Season 1 is subtitled "Dans L'Ombre D'Arsène" (In the Shadow of Arsène) and contains five episodes.

Netflix has not yet announced the episode titles, but the director is known. Ludovic Bernard will direct episodes 6 and 7, while Hugo Gérin will direct episodes 8, 9, and 10.

The cast of "Lupin" is a self-styled gentleman thief inspired by Arsène Lupin, Omar Sy as Assane Diop is the centerpiece of the cast. Assane has several aliases, including Paul Cernine.

The young Assan is played by Mamadou Haidara.

Other lupine casts include:
