Apple's World Wide Developers Conference, aka WWDC, kicked off today (June 7) and is shaping up to be quite an exciting event. As expected, the latest versions of macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS will be announced this year, and rumors of this year's WWDC also point to possible new hardware.

The WWDC 2021 keynote will take place in a few hours, with Tim Cook and other Apple executives detailing what is in store for software developers in the coming months. This will likely give us a hint of what to expect from the likes of the iPhone 13 and MacBook Pro 2021.

WWDC teaser images show a trio of Memojis peering into a MacBook with code in their eyes, and we may hear how Cupertino engineers have made the power of the Apple M1 chip easily available to developers. We can also expect to see how more apps and features will be compatible with the M1 MacBook and iMac 2021.

As mentioned above, the WWDC 2021 keynote will take place today at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.

As for watching WWDC 2021 live, there are a variety of options. The keynote will be streamed on Apple's website and can also be viewed via the Apple Developer app on the iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV set-top box, the Apple Developer website, and Apple's TV app.

In addition, a live stream of the keynote will be available on YouTube. (Currently, a blank screen is shown, but this is expected to change as the live keynote gets closer.) As mentioned above, Apple will be delving into the new features and capabilities of their software suite at WWDC. We expect quite a bit about the next steps for macOS and what iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will look like; WWDC will probably see the release of iOS 15 and macOS 12 beta versions, followed by their official release this fall.

At last year's WWDC, the Apple Silicon initiative was revealed, and Cupertino described how he wanted to leave Intel CPUs behind in the move to in-house chipsets, first seen with the Apple M1 chip. Therefore, a new version of the Apple M2 chip will be unveiled on Monday, and there may be new Macs hosting the new silicon.

These Mac machines could be the 27-inch iMac 2021, the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021, and the MacBook Air 2021, all of which will be redesigned from the previous model and upgraded with micro-LED displays and other The MacBook Pro 2021 and MacBook Air 2021 are all expected to be redesigned and given upgrades such as micro-LED displays. It is also possible that Apple will hold off on announcing new hardware at its developer conference and reserve the product launch for another event.

We could see the AirPods3 debut, but that is usually reserved for phone or tablet announcements. We expect it to come in the fall along with the new iPad.
