"Who Are You, Charlie Brown?"

This new Peanuts documentary, premiering June 25 on Apple TV Plus, addresses the enduring legacy of Peanuts and its creator, Charles Schulz. The documentary, released today (June 4) with a trailer, is narrated by Lupita Nyongo and features interviews with Jean Schulz (widow of Charles Schulz), Drew Barrymore, Billie Jean King, Al Roker, Ira Glass, Kevin Smith, Paul Feig and others are included in the interviews.

The approximately 2-minute trailer also includes clips from an old interview with Schulz, who passed away 21 years ago. According to the trailer, the documentary seems to explore Peanuts' impact on society, from girls playing sports to addressing racism by introducing the black character Franklin in 1968.

It also examines some of the major themes of "Peanuts" as part of its legacy, such as Charlie Brown's persistent belief that things would go his way no matter how many times Lucy took up football.

"Keep trying, Charlie Brown," Schultz says in the trailer. If anyone should give up, he should."

I have a real soft spot for Peanuts and couldn't help but get a little excited when I heard the familiar Linus and Lucy tune playing in the background.

So, just as the Great Pumpkin rises every Halloween, so does "Charlie Brown, Who Are You?" which will be released on June 25. And I might get a little misty, too.
