Nintendo Switch Pro Launch Tipped for the week — What you Need to Know

The Nintendo Switch Pro may be coming sooner than expected. At the very least, it could be announced soon. According to the latest release date rumors, the next-generation gaming console could arrive as soon as this week.

If you recall, the PS5 and Xbox Series X debuted months before they were available for purchase, and Bloomberg recently reported that an official announcement will be made before the 2021 E3 conference.

With this year's virtual E3 event taking place from June 12 to June 15, less than two weeks will pass before Bloomberg's information proves to be true.

New insights from Nick Baker, co-founder of XboxEra.com, confirm Bloomberg's report. According to Baker, the next Nintendo Direct event is scheduled for Thursday, June 3, and is expected to feature an enhanced Switch console.

"As of now, I'm hearing a Super Nintendo Switch (I want to name it) Direct/Mini Direct/Announcement is scheduled for Thursday," Baker tweeted.

Baker added that the announcement of the new console has been postponed before and "could happen again this time." In other words, there is no guarantee that a Nintendo Switch with improved performance and some form of 4K output will materialize.

Again, even if the console is announced, it will not be available for purchase for several months; according to Bloomberg, Nintendo began production of the upgraded console in July, with a consumer launch scheduled for September or October of this year.

Pre-orders, however, may start much earlier. Last week, a listing for the Nintendo Switch Pro appeared on Amazon's Mexican website. It has now been removed, but a blank page appeared, showing Nintendo as the seller.

According to the Nintendo Switch Pro rumors we have heard so far, the upcoming console will be more expensive than the current $299 Nintendo Switch. We don't know the specific price of the Switch Pro, but leaked information speculates that it will cost between $350 and $399.

As for exclusive features, Bloomberg reported that the Switch Pro will support 4K and may benefit from Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling; DLSS is an advanced version of AI-based upscaling that further improves picture quality. image quality.

Other upgrades could include improved durability in handheld mode and a sturdier kickstand for docked mode. Connectivity improvements are also expected.
