MACBOOK Pro2021 Just Tipped for WWDC Launch

Apple's rumored MacBook Pro 2021 could be revealed at the WWDC 2021 conference in Cupertino on June 7, said leaker Jon Prosser.

"I can confirm that the MacBook Pro will be there," Prosser said, but the leaker did not provide additional details or reasons for his decision. However, seeing that his other leaks are usually quickly followed by explanatory videos on his YouTube channel, we speculate that more information will soon come. After all, the press conference is less than two weeks away.

Previous leaks from reliable sources like Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested a mid-year or late 2021 launch, but no other sources seem to respond to Prosser's leaks.

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference conference conference usually does not feature major hardware announcements, especially regarding new MacBooks. However, Apple's announcement that its WWDC keynote will begin on June 7 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and the image of three cartoon characters holding MacBooks has led many to speculate that a new MacBook model will be announced at the conference

The three characters are also seen in a photo of a MacBook.

The three memosies appear to be looking at a MacBook screen, with their eyes showing coding, iMessage, and Apple Calendar. This could suggest that major changes will be made to the underlying code of macOS, perhaps allowing the MacBook to pull more from the Apple M1 chip. However, it is not out of the realm of possibility that new Mac hardware could be revealed as part of a major refresh of the MacBook.

Currently, we have seen several rumors surrounding the 14- and 16-inch models of the next Macbook Pro. Allegedly, the next Macbook Pro will be radically redesigned and will support the latest 10-core Apple M2 chip with up to 12 high-performance cores and four energy-efficient cores, 16- or 32-core GPU options, and up to 64GB RAM. Like the new iMac 2021, many are also looking forward to more color options for the new MacBook Pro models.

The new MacBook Pro lineup could also include Thunderbolt and USB-C ports, as well as the return of HDMI ports and SD card slots (last seen on the 2015 model.) Touch Bar is unlikely to be included, and Apple is rumored to intend to implement a traditional function key row instead. The next lineup is also expected to include an upgraded thermal system.

We will have to wait a few weeks to see if Prosser's leak is legitimate. But WWDC is going to be interesting for MacBook fans, regardless of the likelihood of new hardware announcements.
