AEW Rampage is coming to TNT this summer — and Dynamite will go to TBS in 2022

Turner TV gets even more elite; AEW Rampage will be the second all-elite wrestling show on TNT to debut this summer. But that's not the only big news from Turner TV, AEW Dynamite and Rampage will not remain on TNT in 2022.

AEW Rampage is a one-hour show, so there is no need to worry about AEW filling a lot of new time (aka WWE Raw issues). This was all announced on Warner Media Upfronts, showcasing the next of the Warner-owned properties.

The press release touted AEW's recent domination in the ratings, which took place after competitor WWE NXT moved to Tuesday, and said Dynamite is "the most watched show in wrestling." He also stated that AEW: Dynamite was "the No. 1 rated program on cable TV on Wednesday, May 5, A18-49, and was the first win for the wrestling franchise."

AEW Rampage will air on TNT on August 13 at 10 p.m. ET. As noted above, it will be a one-hour series. It is not yet known if it will be live content or a pre-recorded grap.

As for the content of AEW Rampage, it is not known if it will differ significantly from Dynamite. The press release states that "AEW: Rampage is the third hour of high-octane wrestling featuring AEW's world-renowned stars."

AEW Dynamite (and Rampage) will have a new home in 2022. It is TBS, the former home of WCW Thunder and many other shows.

It will be interesting to see if the TNT title (currently held by Milo) will be rebranded the TBS title.

AEW CEO Tony Kahn is quoted in the press release as saying:" And while we look forward to our arrival at TBS, we will not be saying goodbye to our former and current home, TNT: ...... In addition, the financial upside of our new contract gives us the opportunity to continue to invest and grow AEW to serve the most important people in our industry: our fans, our wrestlers, our staff, and our sponsors."

Before that, AEW will have four supercard shows on TNT. Khan said, "All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite and Rampage will take center stage next year with a new deal with TBS, and a new quarterly supercard will launch on TNT.
