More interestingly, the trailer gives us an early look at the Commonwealth and its well-equipped stormtrooper-like soldiers. This new faction, led by Mercer (Michael James Shaw), will play an important role in the events of Season 11. The Commonwealth first appeared in The Walking Dead comic books #175-193 and will be the basis for the new season.

AMC's apocalyptic drama series may be one of the biggest TV shows canceled this year, but that doesn't mean its final season won't be equally memorable. Speaking of favorites, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the rumored return of series protagonist Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln), who last appeared in the ninth season.

Paola Lazaro also joins the iconic cast for the new season. Her character, known as Juanita "Princess" Sanchez (first appeared in season 10), will reportedly play a major role in the show's latest and final episode.

As in previous seasons, the final battle will consist of 24 episodes and will run for two years. The ending of the series will be based on the final comic book storyline, but it is difficult to say how the story will unfold.

As you may already know, it has been officially decided that the 11th season will be the final episode of the series. This decision was made directly by the AMC network and came as a shock to many fans.
