While we are all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the iPad mini 6, it appears that Apple has an iPad mini Pro in the works. This tablet will reportedly have a slightly larger display than the iPad mini 6 and will be priced higher.

Twitter tipster Tron teased some specs about the tablet, adding that the iPad mini Pro will be available in late 2021.

Analyst Ming-Chi Quo expected the iPad mini 6 to be released in the first half of this year, with some predicting it would be announced in March, but that did not happen. While there is still some time before the window closes in the first half of this year, this is not the first time that the iPad mini Pro has been mentioned as debuting later this year.

Tron shares more details on the iPad mini Pro from the Korean blog Naver. The site doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to leaks and rumors, but they are sticking to the iPad mini Pro and its release date.

The iPad mini Pro is said to have slimmer bezels coupled with an 8.7" display. This is slightly larger than the 8.4" panel rumored for the iPad mini 6. It will be available in silver and gray. As expected, the iPad mini Pro will support 5G.

If this is correct, the iPad mini Pro will be more on the side of a compact iPad Pro rather than a Pro version of the iPad mini. tron expects the iPad mini 6 to be priced at $399, the same price as the iPad mini 5 Tron added that if the iPad mini 6 is priced the same as the iPad mini 5 at $399, the price will likely be around $649.

Of course, this is all speculation, and sources are not historically 100% on target; we have yet to see the iPad mini 6 make an appearance, so until Apple makes its next move on the tablet front, take these tablet rumors with a pinch more of a pinch of salt. Let's hold on to it.
