Have you forgotten about the iPhone 12's magnetic back and MagSafe accessories? However, a new series of compatible accessories has been introduced to breathe new life into this underrated iPhone feature.

Moment, a phone case and lens manufacturer, has introduced the Moment for MagSafe line of cases and mounts for the iPhone 12. These are hardly a new category of iPhone accessories. However, because they use MagSafe, they are very easy to attach and detach, which is convenient given that you may need to use your iPhone to answer a message or phone call while you are lining up your iPhone to take a photo.

The stainless steel mount features the company's custom (M)Force magnet, and a grippy rubber backing to provide a secure fit for either a case or a bare iPhone. Once attached, it is designed to fit on tripods, car vents, and walls, and can be used to attach further accessories to the iPhone via an unpowered "cold shoe" fitting, such as an external microphone or light source.

As for the cases, they are made of polycarbonate or TPU plastic and are available in several colors, including walnut and canvas finishes. They have magnets on the inside, but also offer attachment points for wrist straps and optional lens mount inserts if you have a moment lens attachment.

If you're a Samsung user jealous of the iPhone's magnets, Moment has you covered: it offers an (M)Force-compatible case for the Galaxy S21, giving you access to the same mounting system without the built-in magnet. [Apple's own MagSafe accessories include MagSafe chargers, wallets, silicone cases, and leather cases. The charger proved useful because it can be easily attached with a magnet to start charging the phone. However, wallets are often criticized for their lack of strength and their tendency to fall out of the back of the iPhone 12 when removed from the pocket.
