Loki's release date will move (again) - and no new episodes on Friday

Disney has announced that it will once again change the release date for Loki. Instead of premiering on June 11 as previously announced, the first episode of Loki will arrive on June 9.

Additionally, Disney Plus will ditch its traditional Friday release schedule, with new episodes of the series coming on Wednesdays instead. Why would Disney change the cycle of distribution dates? Perhaps Disney knows more about the viewing habits of its previous shows than we do.

Disney initially announced that "Loki" would premiere in May. No date was announced, but this meant that "Falcon and the Winter Knight" would follow. Loki was then pushed back to June 11, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch was to be released on May 4.

And now Loki has changed again. Nevertheless, for a series about the time-traveling Loki, it is always a rather fitting strategy to shift the release date. And swapping the expected Friday release schedule with Wednesday is typical of the "God of Mischief" approach.

I hope Loki doesn't play this prank on the public opening time. So you should still be able to watch a new episode of Loki every Wednesday at midnight PT, 3am EST, 8am UK time.

The show will consist of six episodes and will feature Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Embassa-Roe as Lavonna Lexus Lenslayer, and Ummi Mosaku as TVA Hunter B-15. Sofia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, Erica Coleman, and Eugene Cordero will also appear in unannounced roles.
