Michael B. Jordan opens in Black Panther 2 — Here's your chance

Black Panther aka "Black Panther 2": Wakanda Forever, many fans wanted to see a return. Some wanted a cameo by the late Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa, but the request was rejected by director Ryan Coogler. Now, fans are hoping to see T'Challa's greatest nemesis, Killmonger, in the film.

Yes, even though Killmonger clearly left this world at the hands of T'Challa in the fight at the end of "Black Panther," fans online are saying that Michael B. Jordan should be included in the series. And while that is a tall order, Jordan himself has not denied it.

Jordan recently spoke about the possibility while promoting his new Amazon Prime Video film, Without Remorse. When asked about the probability (on a scale of one to ten) that he would play Killmonger in "Black Panther," he replied: to the question, "I give it a two. Never say never, and you can't predict the future; I think a 2 is OK."

And that's about right. It would seem a little odd that this character, who was obviously supposed to be dead the last time we saw him, would come back from the dead, but weirder things have happened, too. After all, this is a comic book movie.

What prompted me to ask Jordan about this odd possibility is that he has long said he was interested in returning. Jordan told People in January 2021, "The good thing about being in that world with a character that I loved playing, working with [writer/director] Ryan Coogler, and all that, is family. We made a family there. So I think being in that world again is always on the table in some way."

If Jordan were to return as Killmonger in Black Panther: If Jordan were to return as Killmonger in Black Panther/Wakanda Forever, it would make much more sense for him to appear as a phantom of someone else. After all, that is how the late T'Chaka appeared in T'Challa.
