Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Leak Just revealed bold new design

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 3 has long been said to be launching in the summer alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but now we have what appears to be evidence that the two new foldable phones are almost ready for a launch date.

The leaked image, which appears to be from a Samsung promotional video and came via YouTuber @TheGalox_, shows a bold new look for the foldable flip phone.

Samsung appears to be trying to adopt the distinctive two-tone look made popular by the Google Pixel 2. The black bar at the top of the phone has a dual-camera setup, with a solid-color block below it.

Leaked images show shades of beige, gray, dark green, and light violet, but according to display expert and leaker Ross Young, this is only half of the colors we can expect when the phone arrives, with black, dark blue, white, and pink also They say it will be available:

Aside from the look, the most significant change in terms of usability seems to be the front screen. It is now large enough to preview fairly long messages without having to open the phone.

The front screen was present on the previous two Galaxy Z flip handsets, but its utility was apparently limited. As this official promotional image of Samsung's previous generation shows, the original 1.1-inch, 100x112 display didn't have much room for text, requiring awkward swipes to see anything but one or two words. [In our review of the Galaxy Z Flip, we paid particular attention to using it as a mini-viewfinder. But for a phone that prides itself on its portability, clear notifications when closed are sure to be a major weapon.

Another image shared by leaker @Rodent950 shows the same area used for music controls.

The last Galaxy Z Flip 3 shot shows the phone alongside the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, suggesting that the two will debut at the same event.

Both devices are widely said to have a July release, a prediction repeated by Young in an earlier tweet. Of course, Samsung could still announce the devices earlier than that, and the fact that a promotional video is already in production suggests that we could soon get our first official look at both phones.
