Desperate to lead a healthy life for her grandchildren and husband, Angela decides to undergo weight loss surgery, despite Michael's strong objections. Angela's health comes first, but Michael's desire to have children is paramount.

Kalani (32, Washington, Utah) and Asuel (25, Samoa)

For Kalani and Asuel, married life has been rough. The couple is going through a tough ordeal, partly because of Kalani's doubts due to a long family feud. They hope for a fresh start and begin looking for a home. Asuel believes that living on their own, away from Kalani's family, will improve their relationship, and Kalani is enthusiastic about this last challenge. Meanwhile, Kalani's sister, Corini, is staying with them for a few weeks and questions their decision to buy a house, knowing the instability of their marital relationship over the years. Three years into their marriage, Elizabeth, Andrei, and their daughter Eleanor continue to move forward as a family. Tiffany (29, Frederick, Maryland) and Ronald (31, South Africa)

The last few months have taken their toll on Tiffany, a single mother, who feels that her husband Ronald, who still lives in South Africa, has not come around emotionally or financially enough to She feels that he has not. Tiffany stresses to Ronald that she is tired of carrying the financial burden in their relationship and that if Ronald wants to see his family, he needs to start contributing.
