Angela and Michael were eager to continue their life together after they finally tied the knot in Nigeria. Unfortunately, the joy of their marriage was followed by sad news about Angela's mother's health. Angela rushed home, but soon after her mother's death, Angela had to deal with the grief and stress of the pandemic alone without Michael. Desperate to lead a healthy life for her grandchildren and husband, Angela decides to undergo weight loss surgery, despite Michael's strong objections. Angela's health comes first, but Michael's desire to have children is paramount.
Kalani (32, Washington, Utah) and Asuel (25, Samoa)
For Kalani and Asuel, married life has been rough. The couple is going through a tough ordeal, partly because of Kalani's doubts due to a long family feud. They hope for a fresh start and begin looking for a home. Asuel believes that living on their own, away from Kalani's family, will improve their relationship, and Kalani is enthusiastic about this last challenge. Meanwhile, Kalani's sister, Corini, is staying with them for a few weeks and questions their decision to buy a house, knowing the instability of their marital relationship over the years. Kalani confides in Kolini about her and Asuel's intimacy issues and how they feel more like roommates than a couple.
Elizabeth (30, Tampa, FL) and Andrei (34, Moldova)
Three years into their marriage, Elizabeth, Andrei, and their daughter Eleanor continue to move forward as a family. To Elizabeth's relief, Andrei is finally ready to stop being a stay-at-home dad and start working. However, Andrei needs the help of Elizabeth's father, Chuck, to start working, and Elizabeth's siblings, in whatever capacity, are strongly opposed to Andrei going into business with their father. Later, the whole family gathers in Maryland, and Chuck expects a family reunion, but drama ensues.
Tiffany (29, Frederick, Maryland) and Ronald (31, South Africa)
The last few months have taken their toll on Tiffany, a single mother, who feels that her husband Ronald, who still lives in South Africa, has not come around emotionally or financially enough to She feels that he has not. Tiffany stresses to Ronald that she is tired of carrying the financial burden in their relationship and that if Ronald wants to see his family, he needs to start contributing. Ronald is furious that Tiffany behaves this way and thinks that she is spending the money for herself and not for their relationship. Furthermore, Ronald is worried that his visa will be denied, in which case he wants to move his family to South Africa. Tiffany is not keen on this plan and is not sure what will happen if her visa is not granted.
