The concept of the iPhone13 is great - and has everything on our wish list

We got to see a unique spin on what Apple's iPhone 13 could look like thanks to a new unofficial concept design.

Created by ConceptsiPhone, this concept video is unlike everything we've seen, as most concepts aim for an unrealistic redesign that is too futuristic. While the design is still ambitious, ConceptsiPhone has managed to come up with a somewhat realistic concept, with details that we may see later this year.

There have already been quite a few rumors and leaks covering the iPhone 13 release date, price, and specs, but this concept design hints at many of them.

Perhaps the most noticeable part of the video is the removal of Apple's now iconic notch at the top of the display. Since Apple first introduced the notch with the iPhone X, this redesign has raised more than a few eyebrows. Over time, many of us have grown accustomed to this feature.

Some earlier rumors said that Apple would do away with this feature altogether and replace it with a design more like some of Samsung's smartphones. This concept video shows exactly that. However, the rumors speculate that this may not happen any earlier than 2022.

One of the most recent leaks suggests that the new iPhone may have a much smaller notch. According to leaked photos, the notch on the upcoming iPhone 13 is set at 16.88 mm wide, as opposed to the 34.8 mm width of the previous model.

Photos from Mac Otakara also made the rounds on the Internet, comparing the 3D printed iPhone 13 mockup to the iPhone 12, showing that the notch is much slimmer.

The video also shows an interesting set of features that cannot be ignored. The design suggests an in-screen fingerprint sensor and an always-on display. The former is a bit too unrealistic for a launch this year, but the latter seems a real possibility according to recent leaks.

According to renowned leaker Max Weinbach, Apple's iPhone 13 could include an always-on display in its new smartphone lineup, and the technology could be similar to that of the Apple Watch Series 5 and beyond.

Another exciting part of the concept video shows the long-awaited 120Hz ProMotion display, following previous rumors and leaks about Apple's next-generation smartphone.

The ConceptsiPhone also included other possible features such as the addition of an A15 Bionic processor, an energy efficient LTPO display, and details on the rear camera lens.

According to the creator, the ultra-wide-angle lens will only be available on the two Pro models, and the aperture is expected to change (from f2.4 to f1.8) to improve camera performance in low light conditions. The ultra-wide-angle lens may also include an autofocus function, which should improve close-up capabilities.
