Fitbit Luxe just leaked - It's still the sleekest fitness Tracker

The Fitbit Charge 4 currently tops the list of the best fitness trackers you can buy, but it looks like Fitbit may have something more luxurious planned soon.

WinFuture has the scoop on an upcoming wearable called the Fitbit Luxe. As you can see in the photo above, this is more of a fitness band alongside the company's Inspire 2 and Charge 4 bands than a smartwatch comparable to the Versa 3 or Sense wearables, but it will certainly appeal to those who miss the understated style of the discontinued Alta series It will certainly look appealing to those who miss the understated style of the discontinued Alta series.

At first glance, the Fitbit Luxe looks a lot like the $99 Inspire 2 with its elongated display and interchangeable straps, but there are some obvious differences. For starters, the strap itself appears to be a size larger than the type that Fitbit typically ships with, and there is a stainless steel border around the tracker body.

More importantly, the screen is a color model, unlike the monochrome models of the Inspire 2 and Charge 4. The 7-10 days offered by Fitbit's other trackers is one of their main selling points, so this will not affect battery life much I hope it doesn't.

According to WinFuture, Fitbit is trying to offer "balanced health in an elegant design" and will include the usual features expected of their devices to do so. This includes measuring sleep and stress with the wearable's built-in heart rate monitor. It will also be able to track exercise, including swimming, thanks to its waterproof case, and the entire device will apparently vibrate when it reaches the desired heart rate zone.

However, anyone expecting this to mean built-in GPS is out of luck, as WinFuture's (translated) text clearly states that it can be used to track running "via a smartphone's GPS module connected to the tracker." This is because it states that the system can be used to track running "via the GPS module of a smartphone connected to the tracker. In other words, the Fitbit Luxe is more likely a close relative of the Inspire 2 (and the discontinued Alta HR) than the GPS-equipped Charge 4.

That makes it a bit difficult to guess a price point, but we imagine it will be somewhere between the $99 Inspire 2 and the $150 Charge 4. However, if it is indeed the spiritual successor to the Alta HR, it could be in a higher price range, like the Fitbit launched in 2017 for $150.

We won't have to wait too long to find out; WinFuture's report doesn't mention a release date, but the image appears to be an official press shot and won't exist until the device is nearly ready for launch.
